The Corbett name is of Scottish origin, dating back to around
the 12th century. The family crest is a raven on a yellow
background. The family coat of arms is shown above. The motto
translates into "God feeds the ravens". The name Corbett is said
to be derived from the French "corbeille", meaning raven or a
person with dark hair.
